Naples Gardens: Gardens of Augustus - Naples, Italy
A few minutes away from the Piazza Umberto are the grand Gardens of Augustus, which were actually founded by the famous Roman emperor, Julius Caesar. The beautiful gardens feature an enormous collection of mature trees, shrubs and many other specimen plants, which all thrive in the fertile soil. With terraces offering one of the most spectacular views in the whole of Italy, it is easy to see why Caesar enjoyed these gardens so much.

This old and large city park includes many established trees, fountains, walkways and an aquarium. The gardens run for almost a mile along the Bay of Naples and there are some great views.
